RECON CONNECT

Universal connectivity for CNC and conventional machines

RECON CONNECT makes data available from machines and unifies their transmission. In the basic package RECON MES standard machine connection via CONNECT is already included; CONNECT can also be deployed separately for data collection and transmission.

  • Standardised access via OPC UA protocol
  • Direct connection to SQL database, MQTT and company systems
  • Part of the basic package RECON MES and the possibility of independent deployment

RECON CONNECT in detail

Most plants have machines from different manufacturers and with different age control systems. The data exists, but every machine provides it differently or at all. CONNECT is a layer that makes them accessible and unified to one standard, so superior systems read from all machines in the same way - from a modern machining center to a conventional machine with a PLC.

Supported control systems and data sources

  • Fanuc - two-way secure communication
  • Siemens NC i PLC - two-way secure communication
  • Heidenhain - without DNC 18 one way, with DNC 18 two way
  • Mitsubishi - two-way secure communication
  • Conventional machines - one way through collection of current load and 24 V signals
  • MTConnect - one-way communication, we can translate it into OPC UA standard
  • RECON API - information on request
  • ReCON Client - storing data into MS SQL or MariaDB

How deployment is taking place

  • Connection via the CNC system Ethernet connection; for conventional PLC installation machines
  • OPC UA server on hardware from TAJMAC-ZPS, or virtualized on customer server
  • The customer determines which information from the machine can be read and written
  • Three discounted packages according to the number of information collected
  • Third party programs with OPC UA client can read data directly
  • Enlargement of connectivity with Power BI for creating own reports

Who the module is for

  • IT and maintenance - one place to connect machines
  • Production Director - data from all machines in the same shape
  • Custom solution supplier - data reading via OPC UA or RECON API

Deployment prerequisites

  • Ethernet connection of machine control system; for conventional PLC installation machines
  • OPC UA server on hardware from TAJMAC-ZPS or virtualized on customer server
  • Customer decisions which information will be read and written down

Availability

Standard machine connection is included in the basic package RECON MES. CONNECT can also be deployed separately; There are three preferential packages according to the number of information collected.

Question 1 of 3 :

Where should the data from the machines go?

Answer the questions above and the connection will appear automatically.

Machines

The method of connection depends on the type and equipment of the machine.

Machine electrical cabinet

For an older machine, we supply an industrial PC directly to its electrical cabinet.

Local data collection

Data collection runs on the supplied industrial PC.

TRADITION FROM ZLÍN-MALENOVICE

We understand data.
Because we build machining centres ourselves.

ReCON was not created at an IT consultancy desk, but directly on the production floors of TAJMAC-ZPS, the Zlín manufacturer of high-end machining centres. We understand the daily challenges faced by setters, technologists and production managers.

PRACTICE · TOOL PRESETTING

ReCON JOB: From presetting to the machine without errors

The tool assembly travels from the presetting station to the machine spindle without manually re-entering offsets. Unique tool identification, precise measurement and automatic data transfer to the CNC machine eliminate up to 99% of human setup errors.

  • Identify – the tool assembly gets a unique digital code via an RFID chip or QR label.
  • Measure – the optical presetting station sends the measured offsets to the central ReCON JOB database.
  • Apply – automatic error-free transfer of offsets straight into the CNC machine without manual entry.

Manufacturing cell 4.0 at TAJMAC-ZPS

We helped implement the Production Cell 4.0 at the INTEMAC laboratories in Kuřim. Together with our partners, we tested adaptive manufacturing, unified communication, predictive maintenance, post-process inspection and augmented reality. This experience directly shaped other ReCON products.

  • Adaptive manufacturing and unified cell control
  • Predictive maintenance and post-process part inspection
  • Augmented reality for diagnostics and service

About usDeveloped in production · Proven in practice
RECON BY TAJMAC-ZPS

From our own shop floor.
For yours.

ReCON was created in an environment where machining, planning, setting up and solving real production problems happen every day. At TAJMAC-ZPS we needed to understand our own production better — to know how the machines work, where downtime arises and what data we can base further decisions on.

Our in-house solution gradually grew into a modular platform through which we now pass the experience of our Zlín plant on to other companies.

2015

It started with the need to see into production

Matteo Bottura's service experience revealed the untapped potential of data for monitoring and diagnostics. The first internal web application, TM-DB, began to be tested directly in production.

OPERATION

The software is backed by machine know-how

Daily operation and feedback from operators, foremen, planners and maintenance shaped the terminals, the links to business systems and the clear overviews.

RECON

Customers brought us to other companies

During plant visits customers saw the system in practice and wanted the same overview at home. An internal tool thus became a platform for other manufacturing companies.

“Digitalization is not a goal; it is a way to stay competitive in the future.”Ing. Martin Machálka · Technology Director, TAJMAC-ZPS
