ReCON MES

Production monitoring, statuses, cycle times, and assembly operations in a clean interface

ReCON MES is a visualization and reporting platform for real-time production management. The basic package includes standard machine connection via ReCON CONNECT along with the MES, APS, CMMS, and REP modules for a single unified fee.

  • Intuitive reporting tool for generating reports online and retrospectively
  • Assembly: process by machine type, technicians' work and planned vs. recorded hours
  • Integration with ISCAR MATRIX: tool consumption and costs per job and per produced part

ReCON MES in detail

Without an MES, production status is tracked by walking the shop floor and recalculating from paper records. ReCON MES continuously displays workstation states, cycle times, and downtime, providing the same data for shift and historical reporting. Data collection is automated via ReCON CONNECT, with options for manual entry and integration with other systems.

What the basic package includes

  • Reporting tool for streamlining manufacturing processes (real-time and historical reports)
  • Automatic and manual data collection, plus data integration from other systems
  • Monitoring of assembly operations and workstation statuses
  • ReCON APS – shop floor scheduling, work queue, machine and operator calendars, traceability
  • ReCON CMMS – breakdown and cost tracking, preventive inspections, documentation
  • ReCON REP – standard and customized reports in Power BI

Assembly — monitoring of assembly operations

  • Assembly process by machine type: groups, subgroups and individual tasks with planned hours
  • Overview of machines in progress, active technicians and work history for each serial number
  • Comparison of planned and recorded hours by group, activity and technician
  • Utilisation, productivity and comparison of assemblies of the same machine type in ReCON REP and Power BI

Tool management — integration with ISCAR MATRIX

  • Tool withdrawals from ISCAR MATRIX gain production context: job, machine and produced parts
  • Total tool consumption and tooling costs per job, broken down by item
  • Cost of a selected insert per produced part and comparison of the same job across machines
  • Power BI reports in ReCON REP; MATRIX data is refreshed once every 24 hours

Cloud service – advantages and considerations

  • Architecture and security designed in line with NIS2 requirements, with automated online reporting in Power BI
  • Automatic updates, database backups, and patch installations included in the price
  • Accessibility from anywhere, easy performance scaling, lower costs compared to purchasing servers

Who the module is for

  • Business owner and production manager – actual production status without waiting for monthly closing
  • Shift supervisor – overview of workstations and downtime throughout the shift
  • Operator – easy entry and confirmation of operations

Deployment prerequisites

  • Machine connection via ReCON CONNECT (standard connection included in the package)
  • Deployment as a cloud service on MS Azure with a dedicated instance, or on-premises at the customer site

Availability

The basic package includes standard machine connection and the MES, APS, CMMS, and REP modules for a single monthly fee, starting at CZK 41 per machine per day (excl. VAT). A free demo preview of the application is available.

Question 1 of 3 :

Where should the data from the machines go?

Answer the questions above and the connection will appear automatically.

Machines

The method of connection depends on the type and equipment of the machine.

Machine electrical cabinet

For an older machine, we supply an industrial PC directly to its electrical cabinet.

Local data collection

Data collection runs on the supplied industrial PC.

TRADITION FROM ZLÍN-MALENOVICE

We understand data.
Because we build machining centres ourselves.

ReCON was not created at an IT consultancy desk, but directly on the production floors of TAJMAC-ZPS, the Zlín manufacturer of high-end machining centres. We understand the daily challenges faced by setters, technologists and production managers.

NEW · ASSEMBLY IN RECON MES

Assembly operations monitoring in ReCON MES

The Assembly extension of ReCON MES brings the machine plan, assembly process and people's work together in one view. Supervisors see machines in progress and active technicians, planners compare planned and recorded hours, and management evaluates assemblies of the same machine type in Power BI reports.

  • Assembly process by machine type: groups, subgroups and individual tasks
  • Who is working on what – active technicians and work history per serial number
  • Planned vs. recorded hours, utilisation and assembly comparison in Power BI
NEW · ISCAR MATRIX + RECON MES

Tool management in ReCON MES

The ReCON MES extension links tool withdrawals from ISCAR's local MATRIX system with production data from each machine. Power BI reports show tool consumption, tooling costs per job and the cost of a selected insert per produced part.

  • Total tool consumption and tooling costs per job
  • Consumption and cost of a selected insert per produced part
  • Compare the same job across machines by cycle time and tooling costs

PRACTICE · TOOL PRESETTING

ReCON JOB: From presetting to the machine without errors

The tool assembly travels from the presetting station to the machine spindle without manually re-entering offsets. Unique tool identification, precise measurement and automatic data transfer to the CNC machine significantly reduce human setup errors (in practice by up to 99%).

  • Identify – the tool assembly gets a unique digital code via an RFID chip or QR label.
  • Measure – the optical presetting station sends the measured offsets to the central ReCON JOB database.
  • Apply – automatic error-free transfer of offsets straight into the CNC machine without manual entry.

About usDeveloped in production · Proven in practice
RECON BY TAJMAC-ZPS

From our own shop floor.
For yours.

ReCON was created in an environment where machining, planning, setting up and solving real production problems happen every day. At TAJMAC-ZPS we needed to understand our own production better — to know how the machines work, where downtime arises and what data we can base further decisions on.

Our in-house solution gradually grew into a modular platform through which we now pass the experience of our Zlín plant on to other companies.

2015

It started with the need to see into production

Matteo Bottura's service experience revealed the untapped potential of data for monitoring and diagnostics. The first internal web application, TM-DB, began to be tested directly in production.

OPERATION

The software is backed by machine know-how

Daily operation and feedback from operators, foremen, planners and maintenance shaped the terminals, the links to business systems and the clear overviews.

RECON

Customers brought us to other companies

During plant visits customers saw the system in practice and wanted the same overview at home. An internal tool thus became a platform for other manufacturing companies.
